MVP product preview

The core retailer workflow, screen by screen.

A guided tour of the Shopper's Mate iPad workflow for independent retailers: dashboard, checkout, Reward's Mate scan, reward application, catalogue, receipts, basic inventory visibility and basic reporting.

In developmentBrisbane pilot planned

MVP in development. Initial Brisbane pilot planned. Screens and sample data below are illustrative product previews and reflect what the MVP is being built to do, not a live production tour.

MVP retailer workflow

From opening the store to reviewing what actually happened, these are the screens the pilot is being built around.

Retailer dashboard

Your operating snapshot for the day

Open the iPad and see the operating information a store owner needs to run the day, without a wall of speculative charts.

  • Today's sales, transaction count and average basket
  • Member-scanned share of sales and applied reward value
  • Basic inventory and dead-stock items flagged for attention
Product catalogue

Ring up a sale from the catalogue

Build the basket by barcode scan, product search or category tap. Handle custom items, adjust quantities and keep the running total in view.

  • Barcode scan, SKU search and quick category tabs
  • Product images, prices and on-hand indicators
  • Custom items and quantity adjustments in-line
Reward's Mate scan

Identify the customer with one QR scan

Scan the customer's Reward's Mate QR code to link the transaction to their universal balance. Anonymous sales stay just as fast when there is no member to attach, and still count toward the store's net eligible sales fee base.

  • One QR scan attaches the customer to the sale
  • Customer's universal balance and eligible drawdown shown at the till
  • Anonymous sales still count toward net eligible sales; the fee still applies
Reward and payment

Apply the reward, take payment on your EFTPOS

For member-scanned sales, any eligible drawdown from the customer's universal balance is shown and can be applied in one tap. The remaining amount is tendered on your existing EFTPOS or cash workflow, while Reward's Mate settles the applied reward portion so your store still receives the full sale value.

  • Eligible balance drawdown applied against the current transaction
  • Remaining amount tendered on your EFTPOS or cash workflow
  • External EFTPOS workflow for the MVP; direct payments planned later
Reward's Mate rules

One shared network reward, not a store-only wallet

Reward's Mate uses one universal points balance across participating stores rather than a wallet per shop. Retailers do not run a separate points system; Shopper's Mate handles the ledger, the scan and the reward application from the till.

  • One universal Reward's Mate balance across participating stores
  • Customer rewards earned on eligible identified purchases
  • Retailer fee is based on net eligible sales excluding GST, set by the commercial model
Digital receipts

Every recorded sale creates a transaction record

Each transaction is written once to the ledger. Identified customers can get a digital receipt in their Reward's Mate activity, and retailers can review recent sales without exporting spreadsheets.

  • Digital receipt issued to identified customers via Reward's Mate
  • Recent transactions and payment status in one list
  • Refund and reissue actions from the same view
Retailer activity

See what actually happened in the store

A basic retailer dashboard focused on operating truth: what sold, how many members were scanned, what rewards were applied and which items look at risk of becoming dead stock.

  • Sales and member-scanned share over time
  • Applied rewards and points issued on eligible sales
  • Basic stock movement with initial dead-stock flags
Future capability

What is on the roadmap, not in the MVP today

Being clear about what is scoped for the MVP matters as much as what it includes. The capabilities below are planned and depend on real pilot data and further build.

    Future capability

    Direct payment processing

In-app card payments and split payments. The MVP relies on the retailer's existing EFTPOS.

    Future capability

    AI recommendations and forecasting

Predictive replenishment, customer wave forecasting and offer suggestions once sufficient pilot data is available.

    Future capability

    Advanced campaign automation

Automated personalisation, segmentation and lifecycle campaigns beyond initial campaign tools.

    Future capability

    Loyalty tiers and premium offers

Tiered rewards and store-configurable premium offers on top of the shared network reward model.

    Future capability

    Restaurant operations

Kitchen display systems, table service, floor plans and course-based ordering are out of scope for the retail MVP.

    Future capability

    Accounting and multi-store integrations

Direct accounting exports and multi-store controls beyond the single-store pilot workflow.

Anything not shown as a current MVP screen above should be treated as planned, not live. Final scope for each pilot store is confirmed in the retailer agreement.
