LOYALTY BUILT INTO CHECKOUT

Turn every sale into a reason to come back.

RewardsMate is the customer loyalty experience connected directly to Shopper's Mate. Customers identify themselves at checkout, earn store-specific points, receive relevant offers and keep digital receipts, while your team manages everything from the same retailer workflow.

No separate loyalty terminal. No disconnected customer list. No extra process for staff to remember.

Built in Brisbane for independent Australian retailers. Currently preparing for a limited retailer pilot.

  • Loyalty inside checkout
  • Retailer-controlled rewards
  • Digital receipts and customer history

TWO EXPERIENCES, ONE LOYALTY ENGINE

Shopper's Mate runs the store. RewardsMate keeps customers connected.

The retailer and customer experiences share the same transaction, loyalty and campaign data. Configure a reward in Shopper's Mate and the eligible customer experience appears in RewardsMate without duplicating setup.

For your team

Control loyalty from the retailer platform.

Set earning rules, review customer eligibility, apply rewards, create offers and measure performance from the same system used for checkout and reporting.

  • Configure points and reward thresholds
  • Set minimum spend and expiry
  • Apply rewards during checkout
  • Create customer campaigns
  • View redemption and repeat-visit performance
  • Control staff permissions
For your customers

Give customers one simple way to stay connected.

Customers use one RewardsMate identity across participating businesses while maintaining separate points and rewards with each retailer.

  • Digital QR membership
  • Store-specific points progress
  • Eligible offers
  • Reward conditions
  • Digital receipts
  • Purchase and reward history

AT THE COUNTER

Loyalty should take seconds, not slow the queue.

RewardsMate is designed to fit into the existing checkout flow. Staff should not need to switch applications or manage a separate loyalty device.

  1. Step 1

    Build the basket

Staff add products or services to the Shopper's Mate cart as normal.

  2. Step 2

    Identify the customer

The customer scans their RewardsMate QR code, or staff use an approved phone or email lookup where available.

  3. Step 3

    Check eligibility

Shopper's Mate displays that retailer's current points balance, eligible offers and available rewards.

  4. Step 4

    Complete the sale

Staff apply an eligible reward, then record the payment using the supported checkout and EFTPOS workflow.

  5. Step 5

    Update automatically

The transaction updates inventory, store-specific points, redemption history, the digital receipt and retailer reporting.

During the initial MVP and pilot, Shopper's Mate may work alongside compatible external EFTPOS terminals. Direct payment integrations are part of the staged product roadmap.

WHAT CUSTOMERS SEE

A clear reward experience customers can understand.

Customers can discover participating businesses, identify themselves at checkout, review their progress and understand exactly where each reward can be used.

One digital membership

Customers use one RewardsMate account and QR identity across participating local businesses.

Separate store balances

Points earned with one retailer remain attached to that retailer, avoiding confusion over who issued the reward.

Offers with clear conditions

Minimum spend, eligible products, expiry and issuing retailer are shown before activation or redemption.

Receipts and activity

Customers can review eligible purchases, points earned, rewards used and digital receipts in one activity history.

RETAILER-CONTROLLED REWARDS

You decide what customers earn, when they redeem and what the campaign can cost.

RewardsMate should help create another profitable visit, not produce an uncontrolled discount liability. Retailers configure the rules, budget and availability of their rewards.

A controlled return-visit incentive

In the standard pilot example, a customer reaches 1,000 eligible points with your store and unlocks a $10 reward for a future eligible purchase at your store. You can add a minimum spend, expiry and campaign cap to keep the incentive commercially controlled.

  1. 1

    Customer makes eligible purchases

  2. 2

    Customer reaches 1,000 store points

  3. 3

    $10 store reward is issued

  4. 4

Customer returns and redeems under the configured conditions

One membership does not mean one shared reward balance.

Customers can use the same RewardsMate identity across participating businesses, but each retailer's points, rewards, campaign funding and redemption liability remain separate during the pilot.

  • Points cannot be transferred between retailers.
  • A reward is redeemed with the issuing retailer.
  • Rewards are not cash.
  • Refunds may reverse qualifying points.
  • Retailer conditions must be visible before redemption.
  • Cross-store redemption is not included in the initial pilot.
FROM LOYALTY TO ACTION

Run targeted campaigns instead of discounting everyone.

RewardsMate connects identified transactions with retailer-controlled offers, helping stores create campaigns around genuine customer behaviour rather than sending the same promotion to every shopper.

MVP

Bring back recent customers

Send an eligible offer to customers who previously purchased but have not returned within a selected period.

Example: $5 reward on a $30 visit, valid for 14 days

MVP

Reward regular customers

Recognise high-frequency customers with a bonus-points or return-visit campaign.

Example: Double store points this weekend

Planned intelligence

Move slow-selling stock

Use sales and inventory signals to suggest targeted offers for eligible slow-moving products.

Example: Bonus points on selected bakery items

RESPONSIBLE CUSTOMER DATA

Useful customer insight without treating customer trust casually.

RewardsMate creates value by connecting consented customer identity with eligible activity at the retailer where the transaction occurred. Retailers should receive the information needed to operate their own customer relationship, not unrestricted access to activity from unrelated businesses.

Retailer-specific visibility

A retailer can review eligible customer activity connected to that retailer. It should not automatically receive a customer's complete history from other businesses.

Clear customer consent

Customers should understand what information is collected, why it is used and how communication preferences can be changed.

Role-based staff access

Customer profiles, campaign creation, exports and reward adjustments should be limited according to staff role and permission.

No sale of identifiable purchase data

Do not position the sale of identifiable customer transaction data as part of the RewardsMate business model.
